If an employee gets an opportunity for advancement at another restaurant, we will be the first to congratulate and thank them for all their hard work. Likewise, if someone needs to make a change in their responsibilities/job function, we will work to accommodate them. We also encourage employees to reach out to us if they want to explore new careers in a different field. We want our employees to leave working for us as better people.
If a customer calls and needs catering for an event where Brenz is not the best option, we should tell them. If a customer calls with a last-second change, we don’t make them feel bad about it, but rather put them at ease so they can be confident that we will deliver results. If we make a mistake, we do everything in our power to make it right immediately with the least amount of inconvenience to the customer. For instance, if we forget to give a pickup-order customer their salad, we need to call them and offer to
drive it out to them. A million situations will come up, but ultimately what we care about most is that you try to do what is best for the customer.
Our whole concept is built on offering the best pizza. We have spent a lot of time and energy building out our menu. Practically every element of our menu has gone through rigorous testing with individuals of diverse tastes and backgrounds—our friends and family. Specifically, we have put a lot of energy into exactly how we like our pizzas to look and taste. We find that too many toppings (causing the crust not to cook and flavors to be overwhelming) is actually one of our biggest issues. Our portion control is designed to give the customer the best pizza possible.
As a family-owned business, this is very important to us. Having integrity means that all employees are trustworthy, honest, and committed to doing what is right—even if it is difficult. Every aspect of the business must exude integrity. This means that interactions with fellow employees or customers cannot be cutting or demeaning.
